Special Food

This type of classification helps to present recipes with another point of view and in an alternative manner. One thing is sure, there are many Greek recipes in this blog but there are also a lot of vegetable recipes, so I thought that a category for vegetarian and vegan (very trendy and for courageous people!) food might make sense. I also decided to include recipes coming from other cultures so I created an additional category for “Food for Around the World” :-) So enjoy :-)

Young lemony cockerel with mustard sauce in the oven

This young cockerel is cooked in the oven with potatoes and it’s perfumed with garlic and a sauce made with mustard, lemon and oregano! It’s really good and rather elegant thanks to oregano, and the recipe when adjusted can be used to make a whole chicken!

Frittata with spinach, leeks and feta

As you might know the frittata is an omelet cooked in the oven and it’s really good! This version has leeks, spinach, onions, cream and cheese (feta and gruyere or French comté)! It’s perfumed with dill and has the taste of a spanakopita (a Greek pie with spinach) without the phyllo crust! It’s really good and quite easy to make!
