This type of classification helps to present recipes with another point of view and in an alternative manner. One thing is sure, there are many Greek recipes in this blog but there are also a lot of vegetable recipes, so I thought that a category for vegetarian and vegan (very trendy and for courageous people!) food might make sense. I also decided to include recipes coming from other cultures so I created an additional category for “Food for Around the World” :-) So enjoy :-)
Pie with phyllo, spinach, leeks and feta cheese (spanakopita)
A spinach pie with leeks and feta cheese and there you have a Greek spanakopita in mini version and like no other ;-) It’s light on fat and so good ;-) Try it, it’s quite easy to make when you just buy the phyllo leaves on the store!
Sweet Omelet with Raspberries
A sweet omelet coming from an idea of the Great French Chef Pierre Gagnaire, it’s good, easy to make and above all original!
Very Fluffy Omelet
A fluffy omelet because we beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks and then we cook it! It’s fluffy but has a beautiful consistency :-) Try it and see for yourself ;-)
Easter butter Cookies (koulourakia paschalina)
Easter butter cookies are traditionally made in Greece during Easter time and they are wonderful :-) They are easy to make and this is the best recipe ever :-) Don’t hesitate to taste them, they deserve the detour and you too!
Chocolate Dessert with Cognac
This is a very moist chocolate cake and super delicious! The taste of Cognac is there and goes very well with chocolate and all together they create a wonderful symphony of flavors :-) Don’t miss the opportunity to make it :-) It’s really easy! So go for it :-)
Lentils salad with carrots, onion and celery
A beautiful salad with green lentils and veggies sliced in small cubes for more savor and with a vinaigrette with lemon and mustard for even more taste :-) If you are vegetarian and not vegan, you can eat them with a poched egg! It’s really delicious with or without the egg! It’s your choice :-)
