Special Food

This type of classification helps to present recipes with another point of view and in an alternative manner. One thing is sure, there are many Greek recipes in this blog but there are also a lot of vegetable recipes, so I thought that a category for vegetarian and vegan (very trendy and for courageous people!) food might make sense. I also decided to include recipes coming from other cultures so I created an additional category for “Food for Around the World” :-) So enjoy :-)

Moroccan Chicken Pastilla

This pastilla is made in three layers! In the bottom there is an onion sauce with fine herbs (parsley and cilantro), saffron and cinnamon! In the middle there is the chicken cooked into the onion sauce  And at the top, there is a generous layer of almonds perfumed with orange blossom and cinnamon! It’s really splendid and worth the effort and the detour! Give it a try!

This is a fine dessert that celebrates Earl Grey tea and it does it with great success. Prunes go very well with the rest of the ingredients, and the two biscuits (frangipane and lady fingers) go together wonderfully with the sabayon cream flavored with this fine tea!
