This type of classification helps to present recipes with another point of view and in an alternative manner. One thing is sure, there are many Greek recipes in this blog but there are also a lot of vegetable recipes, so I thought that a category for vegetarian and vegan (very trendy and for courageous people!) food might make sense. I also decided to include recipes coming from other cultures so I created an additional category for “Food for Around the World” :-) So enjoy :-)

This Swiss roll or jelly roll is filled with strawberries and strawberry jam et it’s simply delicious as on top it has some Italian meringue that gives some extra flavor! Simply amazing! It’s a recipe coming from the French Pastry House Lenôtre!
Fraisier with sponge fingers or ladyfingers and pistachio paste by Christophe Felder
This is an amazing French dessert called fraisier but in this version the biscuit is made with sponge finger (or lady finger) biscuit and this makes all the difference. It’s filled with a wonderful cream flavored with pistachio paste and of course strawberries! It’s a wonderful dessert coming from the Great Pastry French Chef Christophe Felder!
Eggs Keftas!
Eggs Keftas made with a cream of boiled eggs and dried raisins, onion and pine nuts! It’s really good and so unusual but easy to make for a recipe that comes from the 18th century to our lives today!
Chick peas keftas with spinach and spices
These wonderful keftas are made with a chick peas cream that has spinach and onions and is seasoned with cumin, paprika and turmeric! It’s not very spicy but the spices are there and bring their character and make this dish interesting!
Tahini Sauce
This is a very simple tahini sauce made with Greek yogurt or fromage blanc for those in France, tahini, parsley and a bit of lemon juice! It’s really simple but so good! It goes well with fried food or with raw vegetables for the apéritif :-)
Kibbeh – Beef Meatballs like in Lebanon
These beautiful keftas are very special because they come with a feeling of ground beef, onion, pine nuts, cinnamon and allspice! Outside this filling we create something like a thick cream with ground beef as well, but also with bulgur and we season it with cumin, allspice and mint! It’s deeply fried and so surprisingly good!
